Fringe, or top drilled pearls are great for a variety of projects. They are oval shaped, drilled through small part. You generally get more pearls per strand this way too.

These have a shimmery pine green color, with slight peacock overtones, nice quality as well, very smooth surface, almost no ridging, fun to use!  Size averages 4-4.5mm diameter.
